David Meikle is the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Councillor for Pollokshields Ward on Glasgow City Council. He was first elected to the Council in 2007 and re-elected in 2012 and 2017 with an increased vote at each election. David has held various positions during his time on the Council. He is the Convener of the Finance & Audit Scrutiny Committee and sits on the Strathclyde Pension Fund.
David lives on the southside with his wife and daughter. He attended local state schools and graduated from Glasgow University in 2005 with an honours degree in politics. David has worked in customer service, public sector audit and consultancy. He currently works in the Civil Service. David enjoys football, music, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
