Kyle Thornton

Association Chairman

Kyle Thornton is the Chairman of the Glasgow Conservatives. 

Kyle was born and brought up in Kinning Park, Glasgow and is a strong campaigner. Kyle is a former Chair of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) and former MSYP for Glasgow Southside. He has volunteered with community organisations and is a former Community Council Chairman. 

He currently studies Politics/Central and Eastern European Studies at The University of Glasgow and is in his 4th Year. 

Kyle stood in the 2015 General Election for Glasgow South where he gained nearly 5,000 votes. Kyle also stood in the 2016 Scottish Parliament election for Glasgow Cathcart.

Kyle's political passions include the NHS, education and improving our road network. He is also pro-Union and is proud to stand up for the United Kingdom.
